Every screen: records and workflows
Short answer: In your workspace every screen works on your firm's own records. Each one has + New, a searchable list with status counts, Export CSV, and a record form; buttons in the form move the record to its next step, and the database only allows the right steps.

- Capital calls — on Funds, Issue capital call splits the total across the fund's investors by what they invested, emails each one, then each line moves Issued → Paid / Overdue / Waived
- Distributions — Prepare distribution drafts each investor's share; Approve, then mark Paid (investors are emailed)
- Payments (Money queue, Manage money) and Trade orders need a second person to approve — whoever created it can't
- Statements — Generate statements for a period from calls and distributions; review, Approve, Publish (investors are emailed)
- Tax — Request W-9 / W-8 from every investor (they submit, you verify); Create K-1s for a year, then Draft → In review → Final → Sent
- Communications — write to all investors, one fund or one investor ({{investor}} and {{fund}} fill in), then Send now; Sent emails keeps the record
- Compliance — KYC/AML register, filings calendar, tests, attestations, policies and controls, each with its own steps
- Investors see their own calls, distributions, statements, documents, K-1s and tax forms, can message you and open support tickets
